Sensory Stimulation System

Staying in an intensive care unit has negative psychological effects for many people. Coma patients experience particularly traumatising moments due to their disturbed consciousness. Their relatives are also under great stress and have to find ways to deal with the new situation. Although they would like to help, they lack opportunities to participate in care and therapy.

evo is a system that can improve the rehabilitation of coma patients, avoid negative experiences during the coma and prevent psychological consequences. It enables relatives to convey positively stimulating sensory impressions to the patient. The patient experiences acoustic, visual and haptic impressions that have an activating effect and stimulate cognitive processes. At the same time, the interaction between patient and relatives is promoted and trust, orientation and security are conveyed to make the time of coma more bearable for both sides.
