The laserassisted infrared thermometer Spot was designed for the use in craftsmanship. Thanks to an infrared sensor, the user is able to make precise temperature measurements from a distance between 0.2 up to 30 meters. Furthermore a high resolution camera can be activated to capture the measured area.

Spot features a charging station to charge the exchangeable batteriepack without taking it out. For a fast and easy data exchange Spot is making use of an NFC-panel located in the handle, this results in the ability to send the taken pictures and temperatures to a smartphone. The harmless workingexperience is ensured by Spot´s robust shell and rubber bumper at the front as well as a belt-clip which covers the lenses and carries the device close to the body to guard the fragile components.

This project was developed as a student project and not on behalf of any company mentioned.
