Autonomous vehicle technology has the potential to transform the way people and goods are moved around the world. The logistics industry offers one of the most attractive use cases for self-driving vehicles in this regard. Bosch is developing all the necessary technologies for this purpose and is laying the foundation for all levels of automation with driver assistance systems and related environmental sensors. Safety is of the utmost priority for Bosch in this endeavor. This evolution also implies that new structures in organization and processes within the logistics sector need to emerge.

This work focuses on developing a concept to enhance the safety of autonomous vehicles in the logistics industry and considers how existing structures and systems need to be adapted to meet the demands of automation.
