Patients with COVID-19 and a severe course of the disease as well as patients with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) suffer from acute oxygen deficiency and experience difficulty breathing. This not only makes those affected weak, but can also lead to long-term organ damage.

More and more people worldwide suffer from chronic lung diseases, which are probably caused by the pollutants in the air – in Germany, about six percent of the population. In most cases long-term oxygen therapy is prescribed. This does not cure the disease, but slows it down.

This means an additional oxygen intake for up to 24 hours a day. A device suitable for everyday use is required for this. oxon consists of a stationary oxygen concentrator and a portable tank to offer patients as much comfort and freedom of movement as possible.
