Visionlabs

Visionlabs is our in-house institute for the development of visionary products and innovations at the University of Wuppertal.
The aim of the Institute is to develop visionary, forward-looking and innovative products and services, opening up perspectives for the technological, social and ecological challenges of the medium and long-term future.
Equally anchored in the bachelor's program in Industrial Design and the master's program in Strategic Product and Innovation Develop-ment, the Institute concentrates on disciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research, with a distinctly practical orientation in line with that of both degree programs.

What’s special about us?

Our approach brings unexpressed needs to light. Simulation anticipates future product scenarios (pre-experience). We address the target groups of tomorrow and beyond.

Our projects

Medium to long-term tasks (time frame 5-10 years) – projects and problems impacting centrally on your business area now and in the near future.

Results

The results of the Visionlabs projects are impressive. Besides extensive research documentation on the overall topic, students are imme-diately involved in the development of at least three (and often many more) top quality innovative projects. The customary exhibition that concludes each Visionlabs project is a genuine highlight.
