Circular literacy involves not only understanding the principles of the circular economy, but also being able to implement them. However, companies in the metalworking industry in particular face a critical point: they have to master their day-to-day business while developing sustainable strategies at the same time. However, there is often a lack of orientation in this process. This thesis develops a framework that supports companies in reflecting on their current situation, developing a vision and exploring ways to implement it. It illustrates what the first strategic steps can look like.
As an example, the bridging of the knowing-doing gap, the gap between knowledge and realization, is examined at employee level. In order to close this gap, ideas for learning formats are developed in a collaborative manner. In this way, employees can be informed, motivated and enabled to continue the process and integrate circular economy into the organization.
