Sony BESCAR is a puristic high-end DECT phone for the living room, which is supposed to replace the smartphone when relaxing in the evening, in order to provide the user with a relaxing evening. It combines functions of a remote control as well as telephony. Sony BESCAR's radical and purist design language conveys a feeling of machine-like precision and high-quality haptics. The interface can be operated precisely via an endless rotary encoder. The most important shortcut keys are located on the side for intuitive operation.
The strong material contrast of premium smooth leather and milled aluminum creates a unique haptic experience. The top is fully glazed gorilla glass and creates a seamless display look. The charging plate and Sony BESCAR feature inductive charging technology, allowing for elegant and uncomplicated charging. The charging plate presents BESCAR on black glass and locates BESCAR above the smartphone, which semantically represents a lofty position.
