The Versace service telephone „Servace“ highlights the interaction of guests with luxury hotels and is presented as a sculptural medium to satisfy needs.
The design arises from the realization that a hotel phone is used rarely, but always maintains an interaction with the guest through its presence.
Thus, character, presentation, and integration become more relevant. To match the clientele and setting, the design is packed with materialistic and psychological aspects, which outshine the technical features.
The phone is controlled with the base by a rotation-button, that displays and selects programmable shortcuts on a LED matrix. This type of usage is known from car interfaces and does not need a further introduction to the guests.
