Electronic Torque Wrench for Bicycles

Demographic change, driving bans or a lack of exercise are just some of the factors that are currently helping the bicycle market in Germany to boom, causing bicycle repair shops to be flooded with orders. More and more manufacturers are also obliging workshops to document the assembly of their components with the exact torque.

Sharkey was designed to make workflows in workshops more efficient and to achieve a high degree of accuracy. It is an electronic torque wrench that communicates with the nearest computer via Bluetooth, adjusts itself to the selected component and enters the maximum torque achieved into the list. Information recognition is realised via a barcode scanner and the corresponding barcode on a component list. Constant back-and-forth between mounting on the bike and entering the torques into the computer are history now, thanks to Sharkey.
