Concept to Support the Intermodal Mobility of Families

In the context of the Verkehrswende (transport revolution), alternatives to motorised individual transport are in the focus – particularly cycling, public transport and new traffic concepts. Mobility is developing towards multi- and intermodal flexibility, in which more and more different means of transport are combined with each other. The need for an integrated and seamless mobility is growing, but families are often left behind when concepts and ideas are developed.

This master's thesis deals with this change and presents intermodal mobility with a focus on families, their requirements and needs. The thesis is based on a leasing concept for child bike trailers, which is integrated into an overall concept of mobility offers.
