Home Apothecary for Holistic Selfcare
A balanced diet is the foundation of our wellbeing. We become what we eat. So, where can we draw a line between remedies and nutriments? Aya is a service to support our holistic healthcare by teaching us how to turn our kitchen into an apothecary. The system supports the user in his self-care practice and in the search of individual answers to the questions: What do I need? What are my options? And which remedies can help me personally?
The centuries-old knowledge of folk medicine and it's integration into our daily routines is implemented through three components. An app as a digital encyclopedia provides the whole spectrum of recipes which can be prepared with the medical plants that are sent to the user on a regular basis. The heart of the service is the journal: it offers new, interactive ways of self-reflection and combines experience, tried and tested remedies and old knowledge into a modern home apothecary.
