Encore Life

Life expectancy is increasing due to significant advances in medicine and technology in industrialized countries. What does it mean for the development of society when the age of life increases and society ages? What opportunities are there for seniors to participate and contribute? Retirees have many years of work experience, many different special skills and time.
This master's thesis focuses on Taiwan and examines the life patterns, health and psychological status, marital status, and more of retirees in Taiwan. Using many different design methods, the needs, desires, and the demands of retirees were collected. Based on the results of this research, the Encore Life app was designed.
On this platform, retirees can find interesting activities - the clients are not only local stores and clubs, but also local residents. This not only gives retirees the opportunity to do something they are interested in, but also to interact with the neighborhood and build a supportive community relationship.
