Modular Power Delivery System for IoT Devices

LOOP is a modular power delivery system for home and office. Based on an electromagnetic connector technology modules for charging, lighting and Internet of Things devices can be snapped onto a low voltage power-track. The availability of different form-factors enables a very versatile and scalable system which can be deployed in small and large office environments with ease.
This bachelor‘s thesis is focused on the implementation of the power delivery system into a privacy screen for desks, to create a very cost effective and user friendly way of personalizing office environments.
The basic set comes with a charger for mobile devices like laptops, a docking station for smartphones, a pencil cup and a task light. LOOP kicks off the development of standard for installation and power delivery for a more flexible way of integrating the growing number of IoT devices into our daily lives.
